The Oregon 27RX chain is hyper skip ripping chainsaw chain designed specifically for chainsaw milling and ripping applications. There is a gap of ten drive links between each pair of cutters, allowing for maximum chip removal, a higher chain speed, reduced drag, and a smoother feeling when milling.

The finished boards can have a slightly rougher texture. There will be less teeth to sharpen, but correct sharpening here is critical for demanding long bar and large timber milling.
