Sugihara Pre Filled Grease Gun

Pre-Filled Grease Gun from Sugihara for greasing nose sprockets where there are places to apply grease.

A grease gun is used with a chainsaw to lubricate key moving parts that aren’t covered by standard chain oil.

It’s most commonly used on guide bars with a grease port to maintain the nose sprocket, reducing friction, heat, and wear. Some models also allow greasing of clutch or sprocket bearings.

Note: Not all modern chainsaws require greasing, as many components are maintenance-free.

Rule of thumb; if a nose sprocket has a port for greasing it should be greased as part of regular bar maintenance. If it does not, then don't worry about greasing, just keep the bar oil topped up.
