Most questions around Granberg chain are about the price – is it worth the additional $$? Ans: Some say yes and some say no. If you really want to find out buy a loop and compare the performance with other chains.

Granberg ripping chain has been modified further – this configuration features x2 scoring cutters followed by x2 clearing cutters. The easiest way to sharpen this is by making all the cutters 10 degrees however if you wish you can sharpen the scoring cutters to 20 degrees and the clearing cutters to 5 degrees.

excellent ripping chain

This guage and pitch ripping chain is hard to find so I was pleased to see Chainsawbars had managed to source it. In the past I had to modify a regular chain to mimic the Granberg and had reasonable success. However, this genuine Granberg does a far better job and leaves a very smooth cut surface on the planks.

Great chain

Granberg appear to be the only company that do a ripping chain of 0.325 pitch. It arrived promptly from Chainsawbars and I have now used it to mill my first planks. It cut cleanly through the larch and I am now planning a number of projects. Will use Granberg chains again.
