Alaskan Mill Mk IV and Small Log Mill

The Alaskan Mill clamps easily and quickly to your chainsaw. There is no need to adapt the bar. If you have a chainsaw 65cc+ then you can fit an Alaskan Mill. If you have a chainsaw less than 65cc then it is the Small Log Mill you are after.

Granberg Alaskan Mk IV Chainsaw Mills

Part Number and name: G778

Used for/with: Chainsaws with bars of 24” or more [although you can fit to bars as small as 16″]

When fitting an Alaskan Mill Mk IV you will lose 8″[20cm] from the guide bar length. This is because the mill clamps onto the bar at x2 places. So if you are using a 36″[91cm] bar – you will mill to a max length of 28″[71cm].

We stock a range of sizes of Alaskan Mk IV Mills – remember you can always fit a larger mill to a smaller bar as the whole mill can be adjusted down.

When fitting a Small Log Mill you lose only 2″[5cm] from the bar in milling width – however you are limited to a max bar length of 20″[50cm].

Granberg Mini Mill

The vertical Mini Mill can use bars up to 25″ – it travels down a wooden beam to which is fixed rails [which come in 2 foot sections]. Very handy for creating posts and edging the side off a log.

General description: Aircraft aluminum and zinc-plated steel construction. Includes 12 feet of V rail as cutting guide (0590F).

Use description: Tighten pressure bolts on to chain bar to make vertical cuts. Ideal for making dimensional lumber or squaring logs for cabins and other structures. Optimal results will be had when used in conjunction with Granberg ripping chain. Accuracy is lost the longer the bar used.
